Katambuga House | Arusha

Opened in 2017, Katambuga House is an intimate 8 room lodge, located 5 minutes drive from Arusha airport; the lodge enjoys a tranquil setting as its grounds open to the Mringa Coffee Estate and offers unobstructed views of Mount Meru and expansive coffee fields.

The main house, with a cosy main area, adorned by a selection of original photography and art, offers 4 rooms; and the cottages in the garden offer two additional interconnecting rooms. All eight en-suite rooms are spacious, airy and offer all modern amenities.

Gourmet meals are served to guests daily from the restaurant and are enjoyed in the main room, on the large veranda or the pool deck.

Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport. After finishing passport control and customs, you are met by your safari guide at the arrivals gate. After a brief introduction your guide takes you to Arusha, for check in and overnight.

Day 2

Visit Kafika House. Spend time at the facility getting to know the CEO, the team, and the children. Experience the daily rhythm, and learn about how it all works

Koroi Forest Camp | Arusha National Park

Situated in northeastern Tanzania, Arusha National Park is set against the spectacular backdrop of Mount Meru. This 552 square kilometre park is renowned for its otherworldly scenery and excellent choice of trekking possibilities.

This beautiful area is divided into three parts: Mt. Meru, a spectacular volcanic cone; the Ngurdoto Crater, with its lost-world feel; and the multi-hued Momela Lakes. The park features a wide range of habitats that provide a home to an array of wildlife and plant species. Commonly spotted animals include Cape buffalo, giraffe, zebra, warthog, monkey, flamingo, lion and elephant.

Koroi Forest Camp lies hidden in the heart of a thick forest at the base of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak. Named after the Maasai word for the black-and-white colobus monkeys that call the area home, Koroi celebrates the forest.

With eight forest chalets and a unique tree room, the camp is nestled among ancient trees. Five chalets overlook an open glade that draws wildlife; another three sit quietly near a seasonal stream while the unique tree room is immersed in the dense forest.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and drive to Longido where you’ll visit a traditional Maasai family’s homestead, and learn about what life looks like in rural Tanzania, where most of Kafika House’s patients come from. Later in the day, proceed to Koroi for check-in, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing and game drives in Arusha National Park, including a guided forest walk. Late afternoon drive back to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Olkeri Camp | Randilen

Designated by the Maasai people, Randilen is a community wildlife management area of 327 km², which extends organically from Tarangire National Park's north-eastern boundary and adheres to strict ecological principles that benefit both wildlife and the community.

In the dry season between July and October, wildlife is concentrated around a few water sources, particularly the Tarangire River Valley.

Wildlife moves into the surrounding hills during the green season, which comes alive with lushness, flowering blooms, epic skies, and exuberant wildlife. Aside from elephant and buffalo, species most likely to be seen are giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck, bushbuck, impala, lesser kudu, eland and warthog. Among the predators are lion and leopard, as well as jackals and mongoose.

Olkeri is the Maasai epithet for the Leopard, the spotted ambush hunter, one of the most emblematic inhabitants of the area. Home to great Elephant herds, this beautiful tract of wilderness, replete with views of woodlands, rocky hills, and shaded by gnarled old-growth Baobab and Acacia, offers the ultimate freedom to explore day and night.

Day 5

Day 6 & 7

Enjoy wildlife viewing and game drives in Arusha National Park. Take a hike through the crater of Mt Meru, the dramatic dormant volcano that defines the landscape of this area. Late afternoon drive back to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8

You will be transferred to Kuro airstrip and connect with your scheduled flight to Serengeti, On arrival you are met by your safari guide who will take you to the Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon proceed with game drive activity followed by dinner and overnight.

Olmara Camp | Eastern Serengeti

The rich Acacia-dotted plains of the eastern Serengeti are home to abundant wildlife. Visitors flock here to view the world-renowned Wildebeest migration. We find an unsurpassed display of predators and predator activity among the endless grassy savannah, scattered gnarled Acacia trees, and weathered rocky outcrops. The area is unspoiled, silent, and remote from the busier central Serengeti.  

Apart from the Cheetah, for which the area is famed, the area teems with wildlife. Prides of Lion and large packs of Hyenas. Leopards range along the river valleys and wooded hills; Serval Cats hunt in the tall grass, and Caracals at the base of kopjes and the water holes. This exclusive expanse of the Serengeti is among the best places in the world to photograph large cats. The permanent water attracts herbivores en masse - Elephants, Giraffes, Zebra, Warthog, and many more- making for an action-packed game experience.

Olmara Camp is located in the far eastern plains of the Serengeti, a remote, wildlife-rich pocket at the crossroads of endless grassy plains and woodlands. The camp features five tented mini-suites and three Stargazer tented mini-suites nestled within a grove of acacias, overlooking expansive views of the Ngare Nayuki river valley and the plains beyond.

Each tented suite has a cosy lounge area with comfortable sofas and a coffee table, a king-sized bed with bedside tables and lamps, a writing desk, a full-length wall mirror, and soft carpets over wooden floors. The suite extends into an en suite bathroom with a shower, double sinks, and a flushing toilet.

The camp is open, without barriers or fences, allowing wildlife to move freely. The surrounding area is crossed by meandering rivers and dotted with ancient granite kopjes, offering a dramatic backdrop for walking safaris.

Day 9 & 10

Full day of shared game activities as offered by Olmara. Your guide and camp manager will discuss with you the shared activities on offer and suggest the best programme to suit you.

Day 11

Fly from the Serengeti to Arusha Airport. A transfer vehicle awaits you at Arusha airport to take you for lunch at Katambuga House. After lunch you are transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect with your international flight.
